This recently completed warehouse facility for Smyths Toys is one of the largest logistical units to have been constructed in Ireland over recent years. Consisting of 37,289 sq.m (401,386 sq.ft.) of purpose built warehouse space, internal office spaces and associated operational yards along with ancillary buildings, the facility is located on a 27 acre holding at Dundalk North Business Park. Inspired by sustainability & energy efficiency this BREEAM standard building utilizes a combination of Kingspan insulated roof and wall cladding panels for the external envelope.
This delivered on both aesthetics and performance whilst the considered roof light system design also promotes natural light within the large scale building footprint. This project was successfully delivered with an accelerated construction programme.
